About this project

NEXUS had a single page online for a business with three programmes, a course calendar and an intake conversation. We designed and built a sixteen-page Webflow site with an enrolments collection they run themselves, shot the photography and filmed one of their trainings, so the site now carries the authority the training does.

Client Introduction

NEXUS Leadership Academy is the performance partner in leadership under pressure. Founders Jeffrey Groen, Mike Smits and Jos Mekkes come out of the security services, two from the military and one from the police and the justice system, and the NEXUS Method® is what they brought back with them: what actually holds when a situation stops behaving.

They run it as three programmes, Inner Leader, Strong Leader and Team Leader, alongside the Leadership Pressure System and shorter interventions. What an organisation is really buying is not a training course. It is the confidence that a manager will still decide, and still own that decision, on the day it goes wrong.

The Challenge

The site was a single page, built by family in the early days, and it had done its job for a while. It said what NEXUS did and left the rest to a phone call.

The trouble with one page is that it cannot hold a business this size. Three programmes with different audiences, a pressure system and a set of interventions alongside them, course dates that move every few months, and an intake conversation that has to happen before anyone signs up. None of that fits on one scroll. So the site could inform, and it could not sell, and a prospect landing on it had no way to gauge whether NEXUS was serious. For a firm whose whole promise is composure under pressure, that was an expensive gap.

The brief was a site that generates leads, not a business card.

The Approach

We designed first and built second. The design work settled what the site had to do before anyone opened Webflow: which programme leads where, what a visitor sees first, and where the intake conversation begins.

Content came next, and that is the part that made the difference. We ran a photoshoot with the three founders and filmed one of their trainings, so what a visitor sees is the actual room, the actual people and the actual work, instead of stock imagery standing in for it. For a business that sells presence, that was never decoration.

The build is sixteen pages in Webflow, assembled with AI against a written specification, which is how a site that size gets built properly in ten weeks rather than twenty. Everything that changes sits in one place: the course calendar. NEXUS adds a new group themselves and it appears wherever it belongs, without anyone calling us.

Results & Impact

The site is live at nexusleadership.nl and it is now the first place NEXUS sends anyone. There are no conversion figures to publish yet. What has come back so far is a consistently positive response from their own network.
