Client Introduction

ABS Stuurapparaten specialises in the revision and repair of automotive electronics, serving customers who depend on precise, reliable repairs. Having previously redesigned their website once already, we took on a new challenge: migrating and rebuilding their online store on Shopify.

The Challenge

ABS Stuurapparaten's WordPress site no longer met their requirements for usability and performance, holding back both the customer experience and technical SEO. The brief was to migrate the existing site to Shopify without losing any of its non-standard functionality, while redesigning the site, developing new features, adding multilingual support in English, French and German, optimising technical SEO, and making sure every product and category transferred correctly.

The Approach

We started with extensive planning and preparation, building a full product spreadsheet and running a pre-launch technical SEO audit. We then carefully migrated the site, exporting and importing every category and product into Shopify, and custom-developed the functionality Shopify didn't support out of the box. In parallel, we completely redesigned the site for desktop, tablet and mobile, working closely with the ABS Stuurapparaten team and prototyping the experience to gather iterative feedback so the final result matched their brand identity and prioritised usability. Shopify formed the core platform, enhanced with custom CSS and HTML for the required functions, supported by SEO tooling tuned for search performance.

The result is a renewed ABS Stuurapparaten website that fully meets their specifications, integrates seamlessly with their existing systems, and is optimised for both usability and SEO - combining an aesthetically appealing design with stronger functionality to take their digital presence to the next level.
